About

Ida Kirkeby Schrader (b. 1993, Bergen, NO) is a Copenhagen-based artist whose practice investigates the interplay between language, technology, and the human experience. Through sculptures and installations, she often uses metaphors taken from language as a method to illuminate complex and abstract theories through translation into physical objects. Working with accessible materials and simplistic imagery, the works linger around a naive reading of societal structures, informed by the fleeting sense of information overload and at the same time reductiveness of contemporary media, thereby creating juxtapositions that reconsiders the familiar.

She holds an MFA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 2023 and has attended the bachelor programme of software engineering at the Technical University of Denmark
